The November 19th, 2011 Auction will be at the West Middlesex, PA auction gallery with a start time of 10:00AM. Stout Auctions is privileged to have the opportunity to sell at public auction the trains and toys from the estate of Jerry Blaine, TCA #78-12533. Jerry had a real passion in searching out high quality trains that is evident in the incredible prewar collections he assembled. His prewar collection included Lionel, American Flyer, Ives and Bing, both in standard gauge and O gauge. The prewar is highlighted by many boxed sets including Blue Comet, Stephen Girard, 365E set, 181E and 191W freight sets, Ives Seagraves and many others. The prewar is also showcased by scale Hudsons and switcher, 500 and 200 series freight cars, Disney handcars and toys, Hellgate bridges, terraces, landscaped plots, power station, OO gauge, American Flyer airplanes, AF Presidential sets, Legionnaire, Bing stations, Buddy L, framed pictures and calendars. The last portion of this sale will feature Lionel postwar trains and accessories, Marx and American Flyer S gauge. This auction has a strong concentration of high end prewar with many items like new to mint in the box. Jerry Blaine will be missed, both as a friend and collector. The toy train community will not be the same without JerryÍs smile and engaging personality. We will also be offering trains and toys from Part I of the collection of Ronald Speece, TCA#77-10367. The Friday session on November 18th will have a large selection of Lionel modern era, Williams, MTH Rail King, reproduction AF S gauge, Lionel, Aristo Craft and New Bright G gauge. This auction will be available on LiveAuctioneers at 10am (Eastern time) Saturday. Buyer's premium on items purchased through Liveauctioneers.com is 14% whereas it is only 10% using absentee bids on the Stout Auctions website. If you place an absentee bid here and then choose to participate in the live bidding, do not start bidding on an item until your absentee bid has been surpassed - you may be bidding against yourself. Bidding in this auction is agreeing to all conditions. Absentee bidders: If you registered to bid online for previous auctions you can use the same four-digit ID number and password to bid absentee for this auction. If you forgot your ID or haven't registered before, read this and contact us.
Click the BROWSE button to view the entire catalog, 20 items at a time. The PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons move through the pages. You may also have the option to jump ahead or back 100 items at a time. Each lot is listed with its text description and the current highest absentee bidder. If no high absentee bidder is listed, there are no absentee bids on the lot yet. After the live auction, absentee bidder information will be replaced within a few days by the price the lot sold for at auction. Use the SEARCH feature to quickly locate items of specific interest. For example, type flyer and click SEARCH to find all lots including American Flyer. You could also search for C10 to find top-grade items or box to find original boxes, though the latter would also show all boxcars. The "Items 1 - 20 of 261" section at the bottom of the menu column shows how many items match your search criteria (261, in this example) and which range of lot numbers you are looking at. You will also see the current search criteria and can click the SHOW ALL button to return to browsing the catalog. If you change "Find items with:" to "Items excluding:" you can search for all lots that don't include a keyword. If you are only interested in diesel locomotives, for example, exclude the word steam. If you like everything except Lionel, exclude lionel. To inspect a single lot, click the underlined lot number from the browse or search listings. A detail page will load which includes the item's color photograph. You may also place absentee bids from the item page. Click the ABSENTEE INFO button to learn more about this. You can also jump to a specific lot by typing its lot number into the "Inspect lot number:" box and clicking the INSPECT button underneath.
